Time frames - Procedures - Prizes Submissions - Photos must be received by August 31, 2010. They can be delivered to Marilyn Pontius, librarian at the War Memorial Library in Widmyer Park, or mailed to The Town of Hancock, c/o Photo Contest, 126 West High Street, Hancock, MD 21750. If return of the photos by mail is required, a self addressed postage paid mailing envelope must be provided. Entrants are responsible for following the delivery and pickup instructions outlined here.
The ten to twelve photos that are judged to best meet the criteria above will be selected by September 15 and the entrants so notified. Eight by ten photos selected will be matted and framed for display by the coordinator with materials provided by the Hancock Area Photo Club. The photographer of larger sized entrees will be required to frame and mat their photos for viewing ( plain black frames with white mats.) The larger photos selected will be picked up at the library and returned for exhibition by Sept. 27.
The 10 to 12 photos selected by the judges will be exhibited Oct.1 till Dec. 31, 2010 at War Memorial Library following a reception where the winners will be announced.
