The club aims to encourage and foster appreciation, communication and advancements in the technology and art of photography in Hancock, MD and the nearby regions of MD, PA and WV.
We want to promote the beauty of our town and surrounding areas through some amazing photographs taken by our club members and enjoy the peaceful nature while doing so.

Meeting at the Western Sizzlin Steak house for Lunch at 12:30 PM.
Purpose:
To promote, encourage and recognize area photographers for excellence in photographic skills, and to promote community pride by exhibiting photos that characterize life in and around the town of Hancock, MD.
Sponsoring organizations include: Hancock Area Photo Club, Hancock in Motion, Hancock Arts Council, War Memorial Library.
Time frames - Procedures - Prizes Submissions - Photos must be received by August 31, 2010. They can be delivered to Marilyn Pontius, librarian at the War Memorial Library in Widmyer Park, or mailed to The Town of Hancock, c/o Photo Contest, 126 West High Street, Hancock, MD 21750. If return of the photos by mail is required, a self addressed postage paid mailing envelope must be provided. Entrants are responsible for following the delivery and pickup instructions outlined here.
